New State-Wide Migration Agreement for Western Australia
Starting July 1, 2024, Western Australia will implement a new state-wide Designated Area Migration Agreement (DAMA). This initiative, combined with the existing State Nominated Migration Program, will allow up to 10,000 overseas workers to relocate to WA each year, addressing critical workforce shortages in the state.
Employers in WA will still have access to the occupations and concessions offered by the regional DAMAs already in place. Moreover, the new WA DAMA will provide employers with an expanded list of occupations and additional concessions, enhancing their ability to meet workforce demands. (read more…)
